    Carl O. Eisenach, 85, Duluth, died Wednesday, March 31, 2004 in St. Luke's Hospital.

    Born in Duluth on June 22, 1918, to parents Frank and Olive Eisenach.

    He was a 1936 graduate of Denfeld High School. Carl was a World War II Navy veteran, serving in the Pacific Theater of Operations. He had owned and operated Eisenach Plumbing and Heating for over 50 years. Carl was an active member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church, VFW 137, Ionic Masonic Lodge, Aad Shrine, Scottish Rite Bodies, Valley of Duluth, Past President of the Master Plumbers Assn., WEBCA, was an avid golfer who played on and sponsored a West End golf team at Enger Golf Course for many years. He enjoyed bowling and hunting, especially duck hunting, and also looked forward to his annual fishing trip. Another pastime was playing cards with a group of friends who had been getting together for over 58 years.

    He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Gladys Dahl.

    Carl is survived by his wife, Florence; sons, Larry (Alice), Duluth, Rick, of Edina, Mike (Susan), Duluth; brothers, Francis, Two Harbors, Ralph (Alyce), Duluth; grandchildren, Shane (Amy), Stephanie (Adam), Nathan (Michelle), Anne, Aaron, Adam, Bradley and Joanna; great-grandchildren, Darren, Brandon, Spencer and Madelia; and nieces and nephews.

    SERVICE: Per Carl's request, there will be a private family service. Burial at Oneota Cemetery. Arrangements by Williams-Lobermeier Funeral Home. The family would like to extend a special thank you to grandson Adam for all of the extra attention he gave to his grandfather.

    Ralph E. Eisenach, 85, of Duluth, died unexpectedly Feb. 9, 2005 in St. Lukes Hospital.

    He was born in Duluth on Jan. 1, 1920 to Frank and Olive Eisenach.

    He was a 1938 graduate of Denfeld High School. Ralph was a World War II Army Air Force veteran, serving as a Bombadier on a B-17 Flying Fortress. He was shot down on his 7th mission and was a POW in Germany for 10 months. He married Alyce Gotland in Duluth on Dec. 10, 1943. He later graduated from North Dakota State, School of Pharmacy, in 1950 and had owned and operated Eisenach Pharmacy until his retirement in 1986. Ralph was a longtime active member of the Lutheran Church of The Holy Trinity, Past President of the Duluth Assn. of Pharmacists, member of West Duluth American Legion 71, The Aad Temple Shrine and its Drum and Bugle Corps., and received the Honorable Fred James Award in 2003. He was an avid golfer and sports fan and enjoyed time spent with his card club buddies.

    He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Gladys Dahl; and brothers, Francis and Carl.

    Ralph is survived by his wife of 61 years, Alyce; sons, Bruce and Gary (Kathy), all of Duluth; grandsons, Brent (Amy) and Ryan; great-granddaughter, Taylor; sisters-in-law, Helen Kaake and Florence Eisenach; brother-in-law, Walt Mansergh; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

    VISITATION: 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral service Monday in the Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity, 27th Ave. W. and 3rd St., Duluth. Burial at Oneota Cemetery. Arrangements by Williams-Lobermeier Funeral Home.

    Robert Allen Dahl, 'Bob', 92, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 30, 2007 at his home at the Sedona Winds Retirement Community in the Village of Oak Creek. He was born March 10, 1915 in Duluth, to Emil and Helen Dahl. He was the eldest of six children. Bob worked in Northern Minnesota with the CCC and was proud of the forests he helped to create. He joined the Duluth Fire Department where he also retired as a 23 year veteran. With his wife, Gladys, whom he married on June 25, 1937, they owned Dahl's Grocery Store for 19 years on Seventh Street in Duluth and they raised a family of five. Bob and Gladys moved to Fort Collins, Colorado where he worked for 10 years at Colorado State University. They then moved to Lake Havasu City, Arizona until Gladys passed away in 1997. Bob resettled in Sedona, Arizona where he met and married Ruby Westensee. Bob's passions were hunting, fishing, golfing, traveling and working with his hands. With the Duluth Fire Department, Bob and his co-workers began fixing toys that people brought to the station long before the Toys for Tots program. He also did rock and gem collecting, finishing, polishing, jewelry making, wood working and, as a sideline, refurbishing houses and mobile homes as well as helping others with their 'fix-it' projects. Bob was a 55 year-plus Master Mason belonging to the Central Arizona Lodge 14 of Sedona, Arizona; the Scottish Rite 32nd degree Mason belonging to the Valley of Phoenix, Orient of Arizona. While living in Lake Havasu City, Bob had cause to use his fire fighting experience to rescue a child from a burning vehicle for which he received a Kiwanis Club 'Hero's' Award in LHC and also received regional recognition for his action in Phoenix. He also held various positions in the community organizations such as Golden 'K' and the Salvation Army. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Ruby; his daughters, Marlene (Marty) Schreffler, Jean ( Marshall) Faber; his sons, Dr. Robert E. ( Jean) Dahl, Dr. Ronald A. (Judy) Dahl, Dr. Daniel (Chris) Dahl; 11 grandchildren; 12great-grandchildren and his sisters, Betty Jesperson, Dorothy Swenson and Nancy Martorano. MEMORIAL SERVICES:were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007 in The Church of the Red Rocks in Sedona. The family suggests memorial contributions in Bob's name be made to the building fund of The Church of the Red Rocks, 54 Bow String Dr., Sedona, AZ 86336.

    Alyce Lorraine Eisenach, 91, of Duluth died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010, in the Benedictine Health Center in Duluth.

    She was born July 30, 1919, in Duluth to Sievert and Live (Hoven) Gotland.

    Alyce was a 1938 graduate of Denfeld High School. She married Ralph Eisenach Dec. 10, 1943, in Duluth. She was co-owner of the Eisenach Pharmacy with her husband for several years.

    Alyce was a member of the Lutheran Church of Holy Trinity, the West Duluth Business Women's Club, the Skyline Garden Club and the Zonta Club.

    She was preceded in death by her parents; spouse Ralph; brother Carl Gotland; and sister Hazel Mansergh.

    Alyce is survived by her sons, Gary (Kathleen) Eisenach and Bruce Eisenach, both of Duluth; sister Helen Kaake of Duluth; sister in-law Florence Eisenach of Duluth; brother in-law Walt (Virginia) Mansergh of Cotton; grandchildren Brent (Amy) Eisenach and Ryan (Allison Yox) Eisenach; and great-grandchildren Nicholas, Mackenzie, Taylor and Teagan.

    Thank you to both Aftenro Home and Benedictine Health Center for their care.
