Gladys Marie Dahl, née Eisenach, 81, of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., went to be with her Lord on March 17, 1997, after a long illness. Gladys loved life, her family and her friends.
Gladys was born Nov. 20, 1915, in Duluth, where she attended Denfeld High School and later met and married her beloved "Bob" on June 25, 1937. Gladys loved life and all it contained. She was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved to cook, grow flowers and to travel.

Gladys was a member of Eastern Star, Harriet Chapter of Duluth, a past member and officer of the Lake Havasu Gem and Mineral Society, a Kiwanian, a volunteer worker at the Lake Havasu Hospital, where she took baby pictures, and a volunteer worker with the Lake Havasu Blood Bank. Gladys was a Cub Scout Den Mother in Duluth with her boys and was an avid supporter of all of her children's activities. Gladys was co-owner of Dahl's Grocery Store in Duluth for 18 years and, in later years, worked part-time in various retail stores selling gifts and jewelry and meeting the public.

Before moving to Lake Havasu City, Gladys and Bob also resided in Fort Collins and Creede, Colo., Zapata, Texas, and Mesa and Tempe, Ariz.
Gladys is survived by her beloved husband, Robert (Bob); daughters, Marlene Schreffler of Fillmore, Calif., Jean Faber of Loveland, Colo; sons, Dr. Robert Dahl and Dr. Daniel Dahl, both of Flagstaff, Ariz., and Dr. Ronald Dahl of Loveland; brothers, Frances, Ralph and Carl Eisenach, all of Duluth, as well as 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends, all of whom love her very much.

There will be a celebration of Gladys' life at 2 p.m. Saturday in St. Michael's United Methodist Church in Lake Havasu City. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made in Gladys' name to Hospice of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., or city of choice.
