    Nancy Faye Trexler, 74, of Emmet died Sunday, August 5, 1990, in Baptist Medical Center.

    Born March 26,1916, in Stephens, she was a homemaker, and a long time member of the First United Methodist Church of Emmet. she was also the Emmet News correspondent for the past several years. She was the daughter of the late James Benjamin and Ophelia Silvey Starrit, a decendent of two of the oldest pioneer families of Nevada County.

    Survivors include her husband, Fred Trexler of Emmet; three sons, Don Trexler of West Memphis, Charles Trexler of Magnolia and Dwight Trexler of Texarkana; six daughters, Peggy Bailey of Little Rock, Pat Houser of Houston, Anna Trexler of Magnolia, Nancy Hartness of Mineral Springs, Sandra McMurtrey of Hot Springs, and Marilyn Koehler of Sherwood; two sisters, Alice Waters of Texarkana, Texas and Merle Moody or Texarkana, Arkansas; 16 grandchildren' and a number of nieces and nephews.

    Services were held Tuesday, August 7, 1990, in the Cornish Funeral Home chapel in Prescott with Rev. J. R. 'Pete' Callicott officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery near Prescott under the direction of Cornish Funeral Home.

    Memorial may be made to the Frist Untided Methodist Church in Emmet.

    Pallbearers were Jim Treece, Robert Bailey, Mark Harness, David Hagstrom, John Cavazos and Jack Houser.2
