  • Other: on Friday, 3 Feb 1826, Sally Latimer On Feb 3, 1826, administration on the estate of Larned Shepard of Hartford was granted to his widow, Sally Shepard [Hartford Probate].

    On Feb 20, 1844, Sally Shepard of Bloomfield conveyed to Larned Shepard, Alonzo Shepard, Hiram L. Shepard, and Maria wife of Alexander Crane, all of Bloomfield, and George L. Shepard, and Sally Ann wife of Alanson D. Waters, all of Hartford, her right of dower in realty in Hartford, reserving life use of half of the right part of the house which however she could not lease except to the grantees or their heirs [Hartford Land].

    At a later date, not stated above, the above six children (excepting Alonzo) petitioned for a conservator for Sally Shepard of Bloomfield, non compos mentis, and Samuel J. Mills was appointed. The will of Sally Shepard of Bloomfield, dated 25 June 1852, proved 21 Nov 1867, named her five children, Larned Shepard, George L. Shepard, Alonzo Shepard, Hiram L. Shepard, and Maria wife of Alexander Crane. [Hartford Probate]..2
