Named in father's will dated 16 January 1552/3. No age mentioned. Named (Henry Baldwin of Dundridge) in will of cousin Thomas Baldwin 11 October 1570. He became owner of Dundridge Manor 1577/8. Will in Aston Clinton Parish, Buckinghamshire, dated 2 January 1599/1600. Named in will are wife Alice; son John, to receive 4 crofts (called Stybbings) in Wendover; son Robert, to receive land in Flanden and Hempstead in Hertfordshire; daughter Agnes; son Richard, named as executor of his father's will; son Sylvester and his sons John and Henry; James Bonas (husband of daughter Jane) and his son Henry Bonas; sister Lettice Foster; son-in-law Richard Salter (his wife apparently deceased); and brothers John Baldwin and George Adams of Little Harwood, these to act as overseers of the estate. Will proven in the Prerogative Court of Canterbury, London, 2 July 1602. Henry buried Aston Clinton 1 June 1602.

    P.H. Haselton 1989, The English Ancestry of Joseph and Sylvester Baldwin, p. 21. A yeoman and apparently successful. Presumably (if older brother Richard had died as suggested) he inherited the tenements and lands in Cholesbury. He accumulated lands in Wendover. In 1595 he purchased properties in Hertfordshire, just across the boundary some 6 miles from St. Leonards. 1577, he purchased the lands, tenements, and hereditaments belonging to the manor of Dundridge, from John Pakington. Son Richard may have purchased properties at the same time, but it does not appear that son Richard and father Henry held Dundridge jointly.

    H.F. Seversmith 1939, Colonial Families of Long Island, New York, and Connecticut, Being the Ancestry and kindred of Herbert Furman Seversmith, vol. 1, pp. 229-230. With son Richard, he purchased the Manor of Dundridge from Sir John Pakington on 14 April 1578. Date of burial inside church at Aston Clinton.2
