    Marie Evans Van Orden, 98, passed away on February 16, 2014 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Her funeral service will be held at 10:30 Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at the Strode Funeral Home Chapel in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Perkins Cemetery in Perkins, Oklahoma.

    Marie was born on May 27, 1915 to Charles M. Evans and Mary Willett Evans in Perkins, Oklahoma. She married Stuart C. Van Orden on September 9, 1946 in Little Rock, Arkansas.

    She attended Perkins High School as well as Oklahoma A&M. Marie was an artist and teacher. She attended the Unitarian Church.

    She is preceded in death by her husband Stuart; her parents Charles and Mary Evans. She is also preceded in death by her siblings, Clyde, Myrtle, Homer and Victor.

    She is survived by her sons, Stuart David Van Orden and Charles Harrison Van Orden. Grandchildren Kathleen Van Orden, Christine Van Orden, Stuart E. Van Orden, Evan Van Orden, Anna Rangel and Lauren Van Orden and one great grandchild, Julian.
