Funeral services for Mary Pauline Cantrell, 92, of Smithville were held Saturday, July 12, 2003 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel.

Bro. Wallace Caldwell officiated and burial followed in Keltonburg Cemetery.

Ms. Cantrell died Thursday, July 10, 2003 at Baptist DeKalb Hospital.

She was a retired school teacher and a member of Keltonburg United Methodist Church. She was also a former board member at DeKalb County Farm Bureau for nine years were she served as Secretary of the Board, a member of the DeKalb County Retired Teachers, AARP, and Eastern Starr.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Elmer and Cora Thome Morrison; her husband, Wallace Cantrell and two sisters.

She is survived by four children: Donna Ray of Spring, TX; David Cantrell of Smithville; Paul Cantrell of Murfreesboro; and Ruby Schrock of McMinnville; five grandchildren: Anthony Cantrell, Bryan Schrock, Levy Schrock, Jeff Day and Jean-Marie Gustavsen; 12 great-grandchildren and one sister-in-law, Thelma Redmon of Smithville.

Serving as pallbearers were Patrick Ray, Phillip and Clayton Adcock, Eugene Haley, Douglas Cantrell and Nolan Turner.

DeKalb Funeral Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.¹
