    Survivors include his wife, Maude of the George Nursing home; five daughters, Mrs. Effie George, manager of the home, Pearl Cantrell and Eary Coats, both of Springfield, Lena White and Sophia Underwood, both of Aurora; three sons, Glenn of Sullivan, Dave of Los Angeles and Ed of Oklahoma; 23 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Seven brothers, Roy Rice, Lemon Rice and George Rice, all of Springfield, Clinton Rice of St. Louise, Lee Rice and Wes Rice of Marshfield, and Bert Rice of Joplin; and one sister, Mrs. Rosa Montgomery of Marshfield.

    Funeral services will be held this Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the Barber Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bruce Woodruff officiating. Burial will be at Old Prospect cemetery.
    Music by Mrs. Bruce Woodruff with Mrs. E. W. Brooks at the piano.

    Billie Robinson was so many things to so many people. Her strength, compassion for others and fierce love for her family were known by many.

    She has left a hole in our hearts we can only fill with love and lessons she has left behind. Some of the lessons over the years were pretty tough, but they were always backed by a love and protectiveness that few have ever been blessed by, Some of those lessons were nor really understood until later in life. We never really grasped the thinking behind "You can't go swimming until you learn how." That is, we never understood it until we had children and grandchildren of our own.

    As you looked around her home, it was a tribute to the family she was so proud of. Our pictures and gifts to her were everywhere. We, her family, that was her life.
    In the present day and age, "Me," time is so popular and considered essential by some, yet Billie never had any "Me" time when we were growing up. To her it was all about taking care of her family. No matter how tough it got, or the circumstances, she continued to get up each day and keep going.

    She is totally responsible for our attitude of "I can do anything," not only because she told us so, no she is responsible, because she showed us so.

    Funeral services were Saturday, March 19, 2005, in Fraker Funeral Home, Marshfield with the Rev. Ivan Robinson and the Rev. Tim Auten officiating. Burial was in the Marshfield Cemetery.

    Family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Temple Baptist Church in Marshfield.
