    Nora Ethel Cantrell, 82, of Volga, succumbed Saturday, May 18, in a local hospital after an extended illness. Born June 8, 1892, in Morgan County, she was the daughter of Marion and Victoria Whitely. She had been a resident of Volga for the past 12 years and was a member of the United Baptist Church. Mrs. Cantrell is survived by her husband, Amos Cantrell, two sons, Woodie Cantrell of Keaton and Arthur Wright of Cincinnati; and five daughters, Lizzie Hill of Relief, Golda Cox of Waynesville, Oh, Pauline Roe of Dayton, OH, Irene Hill of Ashland and Barbara Vanover of Brooksville, OH. Surviving brothers and sisters include LaVerne Sims and Leon Hickman. Thirty-seven grandchildren and 48 great grandchildren also survive. Services were held Tuesday, May 21, at the Keaton Enterprise Baptist Church with Hager Kelly officiating. Burial was in the Martha Cemetery. The Preston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
