Obituary & Burial

  • An Obituary for Frank Venus Granacki appeared on Wednesday, 5 Oct 2005, in Funeral Alternatives of Washington, Tumwater, Washington. Obituary:
Frank Venus Granacki passed away peacefully from natural causes on October 02, 2005 at Shelton Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was 93.

Frank was born on February 22, 1912 in Tenino, Washington to Boleslaw Barney and Agnes (Gronkowski) Granacki. He graduated from Tenino High School in 1929 and spent his early adulthood working on the family farm in Tenino until his induction into the U.S. Army during WWII, where he served his tour of duty in Europe. He married Alma Nylund on March 14, 1942.

After the war, they settled in Olympia where they resided for over 50 years. Frank worked for Western Metal Craft, Washington State Department of Highways and J. Hofert Christmas tree farm.

Frank loved his beautiful garden and the outdoors. He was an avid reader and one of his favorite pastimes was discussing world politics and current events. He was a history buff and was interested in railroads and flying.

Frank is survived by his daughter and her husband, Susan and Ken Rivers and grandson, Justin Rivers all of Shelton; granddaughters, Carrie Condos of Winlock, Cristy Wilson of Castle Rock, great grandchildren, Nathan, Seth, and Trisha Condos of Winlock, Matthew, Alyssa and Austin McClure of Castle Rock and numerous nieces and nephews. Thanks to special friends, Lucie and Nabil Khadduri for being there.

Frank was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Alma, in March of 2004. He was a kind, compassionate, generous soul with a sense of humor and he will be missed very much by all those who knew and loved him.

In Remembrance of My Grandfather, (Pazie) Frank Granacki

My grandfather was a good teacher, full of wisdom, a good listener, filled with patience. He was the stability of our family, a hard worker, setting a good example for ethics and morals. He was an honest man who earned an honest living, having a modest but comfortable lifestyle. He leaves behind the best of memories.

I know you are in Heaven with Gram now and that is where you want to be. This gives me the peace I need to let you go. I love you lots.

    Your Grandaughter,

    Cris Wilson.2
