  • Anecdote: Euphemia Ann Johnson Euphemia was born in Redwing, MN. They moved to Ida Grove, Iowa. Her mother Caroline Euphemia Clark died when she was just 7 years old. Her mother is buried in Ida Grove, Iowa. They moved from Ida Grove to Hillsboro, OR in 1884 with her family, including step-mom Josephine Bailey, in a covered wagon.

    She died while pregnant with her 9th child, about 20 weeks gestation due to toximia.

    She left husband Arthur (did not remarry), and living children: Arline Beatrice, Rosa Margarite, George Orville, Charles "Alfred", Ruth Louise, Arthur E. Jr., Iola J. (1 child Carrie died a few years earlier).2
