Was placed on detached served with the Macabebe Scouts, where most of the service was spent. Was a civilian scout with D company Macabebe Scouts, which captured Aguinaldo in 1901.

    On return to the United States was promoted Second Lieutenant, 2nd Infantry, National Guard Washington, and assigned with Company L. Was promoted Captain July 5, 1906, and now commanding 5th Company Coast Artillery Reserve, with Battery Benson.7,4
