    Mildred N. Noble, Former Teacher

    Mildred N. Noble, 83 of 414 Jewell Drive, Maple Courts, a native of Russell, died Friday morning at her home. She taught in local schools for several years. She began working as a ward clerk at the House of the Good Samaritan in 1959, retiring from the hospital in 1982. Mrs. Noble was active in the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Born Feb. 8, 1914, a daughter of Frank and Luella Newvine Cook, she graduated from Hermon High School and attended Potsdam Normal School. She married Earle Noble July 21, 1936, at Hermon with the Rev. B.L. Nichols officiating. Mr. Noble died June 7, 1959. Surviving are a daughter, Lorraine Anne Roberts, Watertown; two grandsons and four great-grandchildren. A son, E. Lawrence, died in 1939. The funeral will be Monday at 1 P.M. at Green Funeral Home, Hermon, with the Rev. Ruth E. Loeffler, pastor of Hermon United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Hermon Cemetery. Calling hours will be 5 to 7 PM Sunday at the funeral home.2
