    Charles T. Wyrick, 84, of Acampo, died Dec. 5 in an Auburn hospital. He was born Feb. 21, 1928, and was a native of Pittsfield, Mass.

    Mr. Wyrick moved to the Bay Area with his parents in 1923. He graduated from San Leandro High School in 1936 and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He married Thelma Wyrick in 1941.

    Mr. Wyrick was employed in school maintenance. He moved to Meadow Vista in 1956 and then to Forest Hill in 1978. He retired as a maintenance manager of 35 years with the Auburn Unified School District in 1980. After retirement he moved to Acampo in 1992 and was a member and past president of the Auburn Chapter of CSEA, an elder at both the East Oakland Seventh-day Adventist Church and the Meadow Vista Seventh-day Adventist Church, and a member of the English Oaks Seventh-day Adventist Church in Lodi.

    He enjoyed his family, camping, fishing, and woodworking.

    He is survived by his sons, Steve Wyrick, of Henderson, Nev., and Dan Wyrick, of Acampo; daughters, Darlene Roberts, of Auburn, and Karen Selvester, of Lincoln; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

    Services and inurnment will be private.

    There will be no visitation.

    Memorial contributions may be made to the Charles Wyrick Memorial Scholarship at Lodi Adventist Academy, 1230 S. Central Avenue, Lodi, CA, 95240.

    Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
