  • An Obituary for Jerry Phillip Hancock appeared on Saturday, 13 Dec 2008,
"Today at 2:12 PM, Jerry Hancock fell asleep in the Lord. We have prayed for him to regain his health; but events and circumstances conspired against him. He has been in and out of the hospital 5 or 6 times in the last couple of months with a variety of medical issues. Today at about noon Loretta received word that he was beginning to slip away. I arrived in the Cardiac Care unit at about 1:30 PM and Loretta told me that he was in a coma and that various organs were shutting down even though the hospital was pulling out all the stops for him. Jerry's breathing became more and more shallow while on a heavy dosage of medicines and maximum dosage of oxygen and he gradually passed away." Theodore M. Brostrom.3
