A memorial service for Margaret F. Butts will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Rose City Cemetery chapel. She died of a stroke Tuesday in a Portland hospital. She was 83.

Mrs. Butts was born in Vancouver, Wash., on Feb. 3, 1908, and had lived in Vancouver the last four years. Her maiden name was Brandon. She lived most of her life in Beaverton, where she worked for Tektronix Inc. She retired in 1975.

Surviving Mrs. Butts are a son, Dale L. of Olympia; daughter, Carol Gaskill of Vancouver; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Disposition was by cremation.
